Mr Tanner is delighted to report that he has now introduced the PureSee lens from Johnson and Johnson (J&J) as his standard premium extended depth of focus implant. Results have been excellent with no significant optical side effects and the vast majority of patients report an excellent range of vision with decreased requirement for spectacles and functional near vision, particularly when combined with micro-monovision.
We are very pleased to announce that Tanner Eyes is now associated with Sapphire Eyecare Limited. This joint venture aims to provide high quality private eye care as part of a group of expert Consultants on a national basis. There is greater opportunity for access to a wider range of subspecialty expertise, additional partnerships with Optometrists and enhances the level of care and support provided to all our patients.
We are delighted to report that we are now working closely with the Forbury Clinic and have developed a state of the art imaging and treatment suite to further enhance services we are able to provide. This includes OCT angiography, autofluorescence, intraocular injections suite and Photobiomodulation.
This exciting new treatment for dry age-related macular degeneration continues to gather support in the scientific literature with further evidence supporting its use in certain patient groups. As always, we await further evidence. Our PBM service is now well established at the Forbury Clinic and we are now routinely offering this treatment to appropriate patients.
